Herb-base fragrances involve the use of grassy incense from leaves or grass as the main theme. Often mixed with floral aromas, herb-base fragrance exudes a kind of aroma reminiscent of the green nature, which is the main characteristic of this fragrance.

One reminding people of green vegetables; one with a smell similar to the ocean and a kind of green algae incense .Herb-base fragrances are refreshing and are best for making gender-neutral or masculine fragrances. In contrast, it is less likely to use herb-base scents as the main theme in woman’s fragrances, but it is often used as a refreshing finishing touch.

Also known as salvia officinalis, sage (Lamiaceae Salvia) is a kind of aromatic plants. It is a small evergreen shrub with woody stems, gray-green leaves and blue to blue-purple flowers. Sage has many different uses and effects, some other plants in the same family also have the same effects. It is often used as kitchen herbs or medical herbs. Sometimes it is also referred to as garden sage, kitchen sage or Dalmatian sage. In southern Europe, people sometimes grow some plants similar to sage as herbs. In some parts of Europe, especially in the Balkans, people use sage for oil extraction.

Green Tea

Green tea, also known as non-fermented tea, is made from young tea tree shoots followed by typical process like fixing, rolling and drying. The tea has a green colour tone after brewing. Green tea is made from freshly picked tea leaves, followed by hot fixing to kill a variety of oxidase, maintaining a green colour for the tea; the leaves are then rolled and dried. Green tea is a kind of unfermented tea, most commonly found in China, and is the most widely consumed tea. It gives clear tea with green leaves and rich nutrients.

Mint Leaves

Menthol is the main component of mint, and is the source of the mint flavour. They are obtained by distillation of the flowers, leaves, stems and roots, followed by extraction of essential oils. Among all the mint products commonly found in daily necessities and household goods, many used petroleum synthetic mint substances that may cause skin irritation. Highly pure menthol has very high medicinal value. It does not have any pungent aroma; instead, it has a kind of rich and fragrant aroma.

tonka beans

Tonka Beans

Tonka bean trees are common in Venezuela and French Guiana, with clusters of purple flowers hanging on the branches. It produces juicy pulp with a black core and oval-shaped seeds (of a size of 3 to 4 cm). The essential oil is yellowish orange in colour, rich in coumarin extracted from the beans. It is mainly used in the flavouring of tobacco. Its unique scent is also used in the perfume industry.

thyme

Thyme

Thyme is a kind of herbs with culinary and medicinal value, rich in iron. Its fragrance and preservative functions come from the thymol in itself. Ancient Egyptians used thyme as a preservative, and the ancient Greek used thyme for aromatherapy bath or burning in temples; they believed it represented courage. The 20-54% thymol in thyme essential oil has anti-bacteria function and has been used for making mouthwash and different kinds of disinfectants and medicines (cough or bronchitis relief). Before the development of modern antibiotics, thyme essential oil was used to make bandages.
